Dr. Tiénou holds the Tite Tiénou Chair of Global Theology and World Christianity as a Research Professor in Theology of Mission at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where his is Dean Emeritus. He has served as president and dean of Faculté de Théologie Evangélique de l’Alliance Chrétienne in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. He has taught at the Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York. While pastor of a church in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, he founded and directed the Maranatha Institute. He is an active participant in numerous conferences and special lectureships and has contributed many articles to scholarly journals. He resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife, Marie, and their four children.
